What your Citrea dedicated node is built from.

Every chain fact below is taken from Citrea's official documentation (docs.citrea.xyz), last reviewed against it on 22 Aug 2026, not from what is convenient to sell. Where the documentation is silent, the row says so.

What changed on Citrea recently (reviewed 22 Aug 2026)

  • Citrea mainnet went live on 27 Jan 2026 (chain ID 4114, gas token cBTC) with the Clementine BitVM bridge and 30+ launch applications. source ↗
  • Tangelo, the final testnet upgrade before mainnet, shipped 4 Nov 2025 with audit fixes and fee-mechanism changes, following completion of the audit phase on 29 Oct 2025. source ↗
  • Citrea still runs a single sequencer; decentralizing it is a post-mainnet roadmap item, and full nodes carry no protocol incentive. source ↗
  • The CTR governance token went live for trading and staking on 26 May 2026, and Citrea marked six months of the Clementine bridge on 4 Aug 2026. source ↗

Your endpoint

The Citrea RPC node endpoint provider that hands you the keys.

Your Citrea endpoint lives on your own domain, locked to the IPs you allowlist, served from the city you choose across 18 Tier-3 datacentre locations. The node exposes JSON-RPC, WebSocket as documented by Citrea. Live p50 and p99 latency for your node streams to your dashboard, and the 99.99% SLA applies in writing. New to dedicated nodes? The dedicated RPC node guide covers the model end to end.

What you get on day one

  • An HTTPS endpoint and a WebSocket (WSS) endpoint for your Citrea node, on your own domain if you want one
  • Access locked to the IP addresses you allowlist
  • A login to the Argusnodes dashboard: live p50 and p99 for your node, your orders and payments
  • Engineers on ticket, chat, Telegram or Slack, 24/7

Your first request, once the node is live (rpc.yourdomain.com stands in for your endpoint):

curl https://rpc.yourdomain.com \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"eth_blockNumber","params":[]}'

Before you order

Citrea dedicated node: the questions buyers ask.

What is a private Citrea RPC endpoint?

An RPC endpoint that only your applications use. It sits on a dedicated Citrea node that is yours alone, on your own domain if you want one, and answers only the IP addresses you allowlist. No other customer's traffic shares the machine, so nobody else's burst becomes your latency, and there is no rate limit to hit.

How long until my Citrea node is live?

As soon as it has synced with the Citrea network, and we tell you the moment it is ready. Sync time depends on the node type, so your quote carries an estimate for your exact setup rather than a number that is sometimes wrong. The quote itself lands within the hour, around the clock.

What is included in the from $199/mo for my Citrea node?

Everything the node can do, with the premium add-ons other providers bill separately included free: unlimited RPS, every RPC method including debug and trace, unlimited WebSocket connections, your own domain with an IP allowlist, 18 cities to choose from, a 99.99% SLA with credits, 24/7 engineer support and live p50/p99 in your dashboard. There is no add-on price list because nothing is an add-on.

What hardware will my Citrea node run on?

A machine that meets Citrea's official hardware guidance (quoted in the spec sheet on this page) with headroom on top. We never build at the minimum, because a node sized to the minimum becomes the bottleneck the day the chain grows. Your quote names the exact CPU, RAM and NVMe before you pay.

Can I test a Citrea node before I order?

We do not run free trials. Ask us for a latency report for Citrea from the city you want and you see the numbers before you order. Billing is monthly with no lock-in, so you can cancel at the end of any month.

Does Argusnodes run Citrea archive nodes and trace methods?

Archive support on Citrea is confirmed against its documentation as part of your quote. Every method the client exposes is on by default at no extra charge.

Can I run a Citrea validator with Argusnodes?

The sequencer orders transactions; a decentralized sequencer network is future research per official docs. We run every node type the chain actually offers and none it does not.

Can I migrate my Citrea endpoint from QuickNode, GetBlock, Chainstack or another provider?

Yes. A dedicated Citrea node speaks the same JSON-RPC and WebSocket interfaces as the shared endpoint you use today, so migration is pointing your application at your own endpoint. Billing is monthly with no lock-in on our side, and support engineers are on the channels 24/7 during cutover.

Which city should I pick for my Citrea node?

Any of 18 Tier-3 datacentre cities across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific. Deploy near your users for an app, or ask us where Citrea latency is lowest for a bot; we answer from measurement. Need a city we do not list? Ask.

Are there rate limits or connection caps on a dedicated Citrea node?

No artificial ones: unlimited RPS and no connection cap. The machine is yours alone, so the hardware is the only ceiling: if it can serve the request, you can send it. There is no per-plan connection cap because there is no plan tier.

How do I pay for my Citrea node, and can I cancel?

Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer or crypto, billed monthly; crypto payments need no KYC. Cancel at the end of any monthly term; the node is provisioned for you alone, so there is no meter to escape and no exit fee.

How does Argusnodes compare to QuickNode, GetBlock, Chainstack and other Citrea RPC providers?

Argusnodes is dedicated-only: a private Citrea endpoint on a bare-metal node with no rate limits, at one fixed price from $199/mo with every add-on included. Per their own pricing pages: QuickNode sells dedicated clusters through enterprise sales without published prices, Chainstack bills dedicated nodes per hour on top of a paid plan, and Zeeve applies monthly request allowances on dedicated plans below its Enterprise tier (all checked August 2026); GetBlock lists dedicated nodes from $1,000/mo, with IP allowlisting and a custom endpoint URL sold as $199/mo add-ons each (checked September 2026). The comparison table on this page links every source.

What is the Citrea chain ID?

4114 (hex 0x1012), per Citrea's official documentation. A dedicated Citrea node answers eth_chainId with it, so wallets and libraries configured for Citrea work against your endpoint unchanged.
